Cambridge’s Riversdale Estate has stunned at the Royal Hobart Wine show, winning eight trophies.
The Coal River Valley vineyard is the largest privately Tasmanian owned vineyard in Southern Tasmania and only vineyard with water frontage.
With some of the region’s oldest vines at 28 years of age, Riversdale create wines with great concentration of flavour which was clearly appreciated by the wine judges who came from all over Australia and oversees.
Owned by the Roberts Family; Ian, Wendy, Christiaan, Anton and Rainier, future plans look bright with a new winery under construction and due to open early next year.
Vigneron Rainier Roberts said he was proud of the Riversdale team who had helped produce the winning wines, and particularly the Riversdale Estate Syrah 2017 being named Best Shiraz.
