Starting the morning early at the Primrose Sands Anzac dawn service a little cold breeze didn’t stop the local residents from coming down to honour the fallen. There were around two hundred people in attendance. The special guest was Sorell Mayor Kerry Vincent.
President of the Primrose Sands R.S.L. Club Mr Graham Blackwell opened service commemorating the hundred and first anniversary of the Gallipoli landings. Wreaths were laid, with Mr Robert Price laying one on behalf of the Primrose Sands RSL club, followed by representatives, for Mr Eric Hutchinson, for the Commonwealth Government and Mr Tony Mulder MLC. Chaplain Margaret Brown-Thomas delivered a reading and a prayer.
