The Sorell Festival and Classic Car Show held at St. Georges Square in Sorell last month proved to be such as success that organisers are already touting making it an annual event.
Classic Car Show and Shine organiser Mr John Pooley said, “This was the first time that Classic cars have been part of the Festival and was such a success that we shall do it again next year”.
The event was conducted to raise funds for the Tasmanian Bushfire Relief Appeal and Youth Ministry in the Sorell and Tasman municipalities and raised in excess of $5,000.
The inaugural event showcased approximately 100 outstanding vehicles dated from 1903 through to modern day classics and included the added attraction of a Monster Truck which drew ‘huge’ interest.
