Dragon boats, fishing boats, keel boats and sailing dinghies raced at parson’s Bay, Nubeena with perfect weather the crowds were entertained by an overlapping sequence of events at the Festival. The Dragon boats Weedy Seadragon and Dragon fly with their ladies in pink, all Breast cancer survivors, created a beautiful spectacle as they glided across the water to the drum beat.
A light breeze and the keel boats sailed out to White beach and back. Fishermen tore up and down Parson’s Bay collecting their pots on route. Swimmers and biathlon runners who swam and ran along the beach had the extra challenge of tides pulling and being high up on the beach.
