Bream Creek show defies the times

Last year, multiple media outlets reported that the good old Aussie country show is dying a slow death. Show committees all over the country have expressed concern over the lack of interest amongst the younger generations to keep annual shows operating in a sustainable fashion.

So far, the ever popular Bream Creek Show, of which the district is very proud, has defied these worrying trends and moved from strength to strength, with crowd numbers staying strong throughout the years since its beginnings in 1886.  And while things have changed somewhat since those early years, the legacy of those first proud country folk has lived on in an event that adheres to the principles it was built on.
