School boasts new facilities

Tasman District School has received a new lease on life thanks to soon to be completed renovations, which include a new commercial kitchen and a designated agricultural workshop and outdoor area.

Principal Ted Barrance, is pleased with the results and believes the improvements offer students and the wider community greater opportunity to build skills by sharing the facilities.

The building development, which started last year – funded by the Federal Government via the Trades Skill Funding Scheme – should be finished in the very near future will enable more students to stay at the school to finish year 11 and 12.
