School Chaplain Moving On

A special dinner was held early in December to farewell and celebrate local School Chaplain, David Walker.  David has been School Chaplain at Dodges Ferry Primary School for six years and four years at Dunalley Primary School.  60 people attended the dinner at Blue Lagoon Camp Site at Dodges Ferry with people present from the schools, local churches, as well as David’s family and friends.

The dinner was hosted by Dodges Ferry Primary School and Dunalley School Chaplaincy Committees and was attended by Principals from both Schools.  In his glowing endorsement of David’s time at Dunalley School, Principal Mr Matt Kenny said, “David has helped many individuals in so many ways. He was able to connect with students in need in a special way. We will miss him.”  Also complimenting David on many levels, Dodges Ferry Principal Mr Andy Bennett said, “David brought a joy to our school and helped the school have stronger ties to the local community.”  Both Principals went to great lengths to pay tribute to David’s sincere character and caring nature.
