New Dunalley School brings opportunity for whole community

The new school year is underway at Dunalley Primary School thanks in large part to the passion and determination of school association chairperson, Elizabeth Knox and overwhelming support from the school, the local community and beyond. School Principal Matt Kenny says history will show that Elizabeth Knox not only saved the school, but saved the town too. In the difficult days of early January when the school and many other Dunalley buildings burnt to the ground, Elizabeth Knox rallied the school community and fought to stay on site and rebuild. “The day after the fire I went to the school and saw the chimney from the old school house still standing amongst the ruins,” said Elizabeth.
